Barefoot in the Park

Trevor and I saw this charming comedy at the Knowle (Solihull) Village Hall last night. You may have seen the 1960's film, starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda? Delightful.
Have YOU been to the theatre lately Or the cinema? Or a concert? I'm keen to hear about it.

Trevor and I must come and see you play (to other Bloggers: David's in a Silver Band... he's very good, or so he tells me)
It looks like you're going to have a busy summer Dave!

I'll take your word for that Dave but Trevor always INSISTS that it's quality that counts, not quantity :-)

Great news about the bookings - hope we have a dry summer!

I've been watching my son's school play today, it was about Robin Hood and it was called Hoodwinked, nothing to do with the cartoon of the same title !
Last film I watched at the cinema was 300 last Thursday ! I liked it but then again anything with big battles in I'm a sucker for !

Hoodwinked is a great title Andrew.

I've heard of 300 but don't know anything about it. Would you recommend it? Trevor and I saw "Amazing Grace" last night - brilliant!

300 is based on a Graphic Novel/Comic Book by a guy called Frank Miller. He based his comic on the story of the 300 Spartans who fought a massive Persian army. There was a 1962 film called The 300 Spartans which I'm sure is more historically accurate, the film 300 has more of a stylized approach to the look and the fights because they've tried to stick to the look of the graphic novel. It may not be everybody's cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.
Think I'm going with my wife, Joanna to see Amazing Grace.

Thanks for the info Andrew - I don't think 300 is Trevor's cup of tea but I wouldn't mind seeing it. Might wait until it comes out on DVD and watch it with my son (18). It's definitely his sort of thing.
Let me know if you DO get to see Amazing Grace.
